Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 heaping teaspoon soda
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon cloves
- 2 teaspoon allspice
- 2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. blackberry jam
Directions
- Cream together sugar and shortening; add in flour, buttermilk and soda. Combine well. Add in spices and jam and stir till mix is well mixed. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
