Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound round steak (3/4 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp. shortening
  • 10 3/4 ounce. can condensed golden brown mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. minced canned tomatoes
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 1/4 c. water
  • Dash pepper

Directions

  1. Lb. steak; cut into serving - size pcs. In skillet brown steak in shortening; pour off fat. Add in remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over low heat 1 hour 30 min or possibly till tender. Stir occasionally. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
