Ingredients
- 5 c. Hot water
- 2 pkt Dry yeast
- 8 Tbsp. Sugar
- 8 Tbsp. Shortening
- 8 tsp Salt
- 6 c. Flour
Directions
- In large bowl, pour in the 5 c. hot water. Add in 2 pkgs. dry yeast.
- When yeast is dissolved, add in sugar, shortening, salt and flour, Stir in with spoon. Let rise. Spoon into greased pans. Let rise again. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 miinutes in large pans; 30 min for small pans. Take from pans immediately, brush with butter. Cold on racks.
- Makes 4 large 9 X 5loaves or possibly 7 small loaves.
