Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 2 Large eggs, well beaten
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 6 c. flour (self rising) or possibly you can use
  • 6 c. 50/50 wheat flour

Directions

  1. Mix sugar, Crisco and salt together. Pour boiling over this mix, then beat in Large eggs. Add in lukewarm water with yeast dissolved in it. Then add in flour, mix; cover and chill for at least 2 hrs. Roll out like pie crust. Brush well with butter and roll up. Slice 1" thick and place in Pam sprayed muffin pans. Makes 3 dozen. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 min. Dough can be kept in refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. To make cinnamon rolls sprinkle sugar and cinnamon mix on top of butter before rolling up.
