Ingredients

  • 5 c. peeled, cored and sliced cooking apples
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • Healthy pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. Put apples in buttered baking dish. Mix next 6 ingredients and pour proportionately over apples. Then mix last 4 ingredients and sprinkle over top of apples. Pour 1 c. boiling water over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. Great served hot plain, with lowfat milk or possibly ice cream on top.
