- 1/4 c. hot water
- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 3/4 c. buttermilk
Directions
- With this dough, you can bake the biscuits right away or possibly let them rise for a more yeast like texture. Even better, you can make the dough ahead and freeze. Just thaw, rise and bake.
