Ingredients

  • 1 x flank steak - (2 to 2 1/2 lbs)
  • 2 tsp unseasoned meat tenderizer
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp. honey

Directions

  1. Pierce surface of steak at 1-inch intervals with sharp fork. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over steak. Let stand at room temperature 1 hour or possibly more, turning occasionally.
  2. Place steak about 3 inches from heat, and broil 3 min on each side. To serve, thinly slice with sharp knife, carving at an angle against the grain.
  3. This recipe yields 8 servings.
