Directions

  1. Pick and wash beans under running water. Put beans in 2 qt pot, cover with water, add in salt and boil about 15 min. Let stand till cold, drain, rinse and set aside. Put the remaining ingredients in a 4 qt pot, cover with water, bring to a boil and let simmer for 1 hour. Add in the beans and cook another 2 hrs.
  2. Excellent with Cole Slaw and Corn Bread.
