  • 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. (1 1/2 c.) Nestle Toll House mint flavored semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
  • 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. minced nuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Heat over warm (not boiling) water, 3/4 c. Nestle Toll House mint flavored semi-sweet chocolate morsels; stir till smooth. Cold to room temperature.
  2. In bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  3. In bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla extract till creamy. Add in melted morsels and egg; beat well. Gradually blend in flour mix. Stir in remaining morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-9 min.
  4. Allow to stand 2-3 min before removing from cookie sheets; cold completely. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen cookies.
  5. In microwave: Heat on high 1 minute, stir; repeat.
