Ingredients
- 1 jar liver or possibly beef baby food, (3 1/2 ounce)
- 1/3 c. Wheat germ
- 2/3 c. Non-fat dry lowfat milk
Directions
- Mix baby food, wheat germ and dry lowfat milk. Add in a little water if too thick. Drop by the Tbsp.-full onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350F. oven for 12-15 min. Let cold before giving to your dog. Chill in a closed container. The reader said which several veterinarians whom she knew had approved these cookies as a treat for her "fat" dog.
- This recipe originally appeared in a Los Angeles evening paper in the 1950's and was credited to "Alice."
