Ingredients
- 3 c. unbleached flour
- 1 teaspoon cloves, grnd
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, grnd
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 egg whites, unbeaten
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. walnuts, sm. pcs
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 egg white, beaten
Directions
- Sift together flour, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, sugar, salt, soda, raisins and walnuts. Blend in egg whites (unbeaten), oil, molasses, water. Mix together thoroughly. Spread in 13x9 inch pan. Brush with beaten egg. Bake for 25 min in 350 degree oven.
