Deep Fried Chicken Gizzards Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken gizzards
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt oil for deep-frying pepper

Directions

  1. Remove fat and outer membrane of gizzards. Make a few parallel slashes in each; then cut in thirds. Combine cornstarch, soy sauce and salt. Add in to gizzard sections and toss gently to coat. Heat oil. Add in gizzards, about half a c. at a time, and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on paper toweling. Serve warm, sprinkled with pepper.

    This recipe sounds interesting. I'm curious as to the texture of the gizzard without tenderizing for an extended period of time. The smaller pieces could lend to the texture enhancement.
