Ingredients

  • 8 x baguette slices, 1/3"-thick
  • 1/3 c. crumbled Gorgonzola cheese - (abt 2 ounce) room temperature
  • 1 Tbsp. butter room temperature
  • 3 lrg fresh ripe figs cut into thin wedges
  • 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil (preferably extra-virgin)

Directions

  1. Preheat broiler. Arrange baguette slices on baking sheet. Broil till lightly toasted on 1 side.
  2. Mash crumbled Gorgonzola and 1 Tbsp. butter in small bowl till smooth. Spread Gorgonzola mix proportionately over untoasted side of baguette slices. Top with figs. Drizzle oil over figs.
  3. Broil till Gorgonzola mix bubbles around edges, about 3 min. Transfer crostini to platter and serve.
  4. This recipe yields 8 servings.
