Ingredients

  • 4 pound rump roast
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1/3 c. molasses
  • 6 ounce. tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 pound carrots, quartered
  • 2 lg. onions, sliced
  • 1/3 c. cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon grnd ginger
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2/3 c. cool water

Directions

  1. Heat shortening and brown carrots and onions. Place meat in crock pot and add in rest of ingredients. Cook 10 hrs on low or possibly 5 hrs on high. Add in flour mixed with cool water at end to thicken the gravy.
