Crock Pot Apple Pumpkin Cake & Teriyaki Pork Roast {Gooseberry Patch Giveaway} Recipe
by Mommy's Kitchen

Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I have another tasty Gooseberry Patch Review & Giveaway to share. This review comes from the 101 cookbook series which just so happens to be my favorite series from Gooseberry Patch. Each and every recipe in the 101 cookbook series has a photo accompanying each recipe. I feast with my eyes, so seeing each recipe is always a bonus for me. The newest edition to the Gooseberry Patch family is 101 Super- Easy Slow Cooker Recipes. I don't know about you, but I cannot live without my trusty slow cooker. I actually use mine year round. Not only do slow cookers provide great winter meals, but they also let me enjoy all my favorite comfort foods in the heat of summer. I simply just don't know what I would do without my slow cooker. I think there are several people that rely on their slow cookers just as much as I do, so it's nice to see all these cookbooks popping up. It also makes it that much nicer that the words super and easy are in the title.

This spiral bound cookbook has 107 pages and lays flat. This makes it so much easier for the pages to stay in place as I'm cooking. Each chapter is divided by cooking times instead of titles. When you know how much time you have on your hands you can thumb through the cookbook and pick a meal accordingly. I love that!!!!!!

You will even find a chapter for Make-Ahead Slow Cooker Freezer Meals. This is perfect for those days when you don't want to cook, but still crave a hot homemade meal. With just a little prep work ahead of time you'll have a easy freezer meal that's ready to toss in the slow cooker when you need it. Freezer meals have saved me a time or two in the past, so I am always thankful that I have them on hand.

This recipe for Crock Pot Apple Pumpkin Cake immediately caught my eye! My family loves anything that involves pumpkin, so I was excited to make this cake. I just recently started making dessert in my crock pot and let me tell you it makes things so much easier, and they taste really good. I don't know why I waited so long.

This recipe was sort of like a dump cake recipe where you add the apple pie filling at the bottom of you slow cooker, and just spread the cake batter on top. That's it! Just cover and bake.

I was a bit skeptical if the cake would bake, but as you can see from the photo it baked up beautifully. Add a dollop of whipping cream and you have a quick easy dessert. I will definitely be making this cake again when fall arrives.
