Creamy Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe

  • 1 (8 or possibly 9 inch) baked pastry shell, cooled or possibly 1 graham cracker crust
  • 3 Large eggs, separated
  • 1 (14 ounce.) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. ReaLemon reconstituted lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/3 c. sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In medium bowl beat egg yolks, stir in sweetened condensed lowfat milk and ReaLemon. Turn into prepared shell.
  2. In small bowl beat egg whites with cream of tartar till soft peaks form; gradually add in sugar, beating till stiff, but not dry. Spread meringue on top of pie, sealing carefully to edge of shell. Bake 15 min or possibly till meringue is golden brown. Cold. Refrigeratebefore serving. Chill leftovers.
