Ingredients
- 1 pound chipped dry beef
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 8 tbsp. flour
- 1 quart. lowfat milk
- 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Toast slices
Directions
- Cook dry beef in butter over medium heat till edges drizzle. Meanwhile, mix the flour and lowfat milk (a gravy shaker works well). Pour the leftover lowfat milk onto the dry beef. Add in the Worcestershire sauce. Add in the flour/lowfat milk mix, stirring constantly, till thick and bubbly. (Heat extra lowfat milk in case it gets too thick). Spread over toast. The flavor is enhanced if allowed to simmer slowly an hour before serving.
- It's even better as a leftover. Add in lowfat milk to thin during reheating.
