Directions

  1. Mix thoroughly butter, cream, and flour. Cover and chill. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll about 1/3 of dough at a time on floured covered board. Cut into 1 1/2 inch circles. Transfer round with spatula to piece of waxed paper which is heavily coated with sugar, coat both sides. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and prick with fork about 4 times.
  2. Bake 7-9 min or possibly just till set, but not brown cold. Put cookies together in pairs with frosting. Cream together 1/4 c. butter, 3/4 c. powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla till smooth. Tint with food coloring. 45 cookies.
