Directions

  1. Heat butter; stir in flour till well blended. Put tomatoes through sieve or possibly food mill; add in to butter flour mix, and cook till thick, stirring constantly. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Gradually add in warm lowfat milk and stir till boiling point is reached. Remove from heat at once, and serve warm, with a spoonful of whipped cream on top of each serving.
  2. Yield: 4 to 6servings.
