Ingredients
- 2 (8) pkg. Pillsbury crescent rolls
- 2 (8 ounce) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 lg. egg, separated
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 T vanilla
- Variation: 1 (16 ounce) can cherry pie filling or possibly favorite pie filling
Directions
- In 9 x 13 pan, lightly sprayed, lay out 1 package crescent rolls, cover the bottom and pinch seams (don't roll or possibly flatten). Mix cream cheese, yolk, sugar, and vanilla; spread over crescent roll bottom. Place 2nd package crescent rolls, prepared the same as the first; then layer over mix.Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 min till golden brown brush with egg white and sprinkle sugar on top. Chill 1 hour before cutting, then you can serve. Makes 48.
- Variation: Omit sugar on top and spread cherry topping over it.
