Cream Cheese Cookie Frosting Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pkt (8-ounce) cream cheese or possibly light cream cheese
  • 1 box (16-ounce) ten-x powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Wilton color pastes

Directions

  1. Our family has used this recipe for years. Let cream cheese come to room temperature. Fold in pwdr sugar till smooth. Add in vanilla. Fold in desired color pastes. Frost cookies and let frosting completely dry, about 1 hour.
  2. Store layers of cookies with wax paper in between. You can use food coloring, but you will need a little more pwdr sugar. The wilton pastes are great, very color intense and they have no taste; red and even black!
