Ingredients
- 1/3 c. Vegetable shortening
- 3/4 c. Sugar
- 2 x Large eggs
- 3/4 c. Molasses
- 1 c. Coarsely minced fresh cranberries
- 2 c. Unsifted flour
- 1 c. Quick cooking oatmeal
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 x Tap grnd cardamon Grated rind of 1 orange
Directions
- In large bowl cream shortening till fluffy. Beat in sugar, Large eggs, molasses and cranberries. Add in remaining ingredients and beat till well blended.
- Pour mix into a greased and floured 13x9x2 baking pan. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 min or possibly till puffed and hard to touch in center. Cold in pan and then cut into 1x2 inch bars.
