Ingredients

  • 1 x 9" unbaked pie shell
  • 4 ounce Grated Swiss cheese
  • 8 ounce (1 c.) crab meat, fresh -- Or possibly canned
  • 3 x Green onions -- sliced thin
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. Half and half
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 2 x To3 dashes
  • 1/4 tsp Dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Grated lemon peel
  • 1 dsh Mace
  • 1 c. Sliced almonds Tabasco

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Arrange cheese, crab, and onions in pie shell. Combine remaining ingredients except for almonds, beating well, and pour over crab meat. Top proportionately with almonds. Bake 45 min till set. Allow to stand 5-10 min before cutting into wedges. SHRIMP QUICHE Substitute 1 c. cooked shrimp for the crab in above recipe.
