  • 3/8 c. Cornmeal
  • 3/8 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 47/250 c. Water ormilk
  • 1 1/4 Tbsp. Bacon drippings, sunflower oil or possibly corn oil

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl combine cornmeal, baking pwdr and salt. Stir in water and 3 Tbsp. of melted bacon drippings. In a large, heavy skillet or possibly nonstick skillet, heat sufficient of remaining drippings to coat the pan. Drop the cornmeal batter by tablespoonfuls into the skillet. Fry pones over medium heat till browned on both sides. Serve warm. and Martin Jacobs.
