Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 x Egg, beaten
  • 2/3 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1/3 c. Vegetable shortening, melted and cooled Cinnamon and sugar for topping

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease an 8 inch square pan. Sift flour, sugar, baking pwdr and salt together, set aside. Combine egg, lowfat milk and shortening. Add in dry ingredients to egg mix and stir just sufficient to moisten flour. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-30 min. Sprinkle batter with cinnamon-sugar mix, to taste. Serve warm.
