Directions

  1. Cream together butter and sugar. Fold in large eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Stir in oatmeal and coconut. Add in dry ingredients to cream mix. Set aside while you make filling. In a saucepan over boiling water, mix together chocolate chips, condensed lowfat milk, butter and salt. Stir till mix is smooth. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread about 2/3 of oatmeal mix in bottom of greased jelly roll pan. Cover with chocolate mix. Dot with remainder of oatmeal mix and swirl over chocolate filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 min. Serves 60.
