Ingredients
- 1Â 3/4 c. Flour
- 3 Tbsp. Dutch process cocoa
- 1Â 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1Â 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1Â 1/2 c. Low-fat buttermilk
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/2 c. Applesauce
- 1/2 c. Molasses
- 1 x Egg
- 2 Tbsp. Margarine
- 3 x Egg whites, beaten till stiff
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray 10 inch bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Flour lightly. Combine flour, cocoa, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt.
- In another bowl combine buttermilk, sugar, applesauce, molasses, egg and margarine. Add in flour mix to applesauce mix. Beat with electric mixer into till applesauce is moistened. Beat on high speed 3 min.
- Gently mix in beaten egg whites. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 55 min, or possibly till toothpick comes out clean. Cold 15 min. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
