Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray 10 inch bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Flour lightly. Combine flour, cocoa, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt.
  3. In another bowl combine buttermilk, sugar, applesauce, molasses, egg and margarine. Add in flour mix to applesauce mix. Beat with electric mixer into till applesauce is moistened. Beat on high speed 3 min.
  4. Gently mix in beaten egg whites. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 55 min, or possibly till toothpick comes out clean. Cold 15 min. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
