Let me be the first to say that there will not be many low carb dessert recipes on my blog. However, with the impending holidays, I thought it would be appropriate to add this recipe to the collection.

If you follow me on Facebook, you may know that I’ve been eating clean AND low carb for a few weeks now. The results have been amazing for both my pant size and my blood sugar. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that everyone should eat this way. I’m simply saying that this is what’s working for me at the moment, so I’m sticking with it.

This particular recipe may not be for everyone as it is definitely high in fat. But part of following a low carb diet (for most people) is increasing your intake of healthy fats. So don’t be shocked by the amount of fat here. It’s supposed to be that way. If this recipe isn’t up your alley, I have a ton more in my dessert section that you might enjoy. I hope you’ll check them out!

Now if you ARE following a low carb / higher fat eating plan, then this might just be the dessert recipe to get you through the holidays without feeling deprived. This is the first recipe I’ve used with store bought stevia, and after doing some research, discovered that it’s not exactly clean. So while it serves the purpose of low carb eating, it doesn’t quite cover it for clean eating.

That being said, I will be doing a post very soon on how to make your own, clean eating stevia powder at home, which is why I decided to leave this recipe here. I will link to it from this post as soon as I have it up.

Clean Eating Low Carb Chocolate Mousse
