Ingredients
- 1/4 c. Chilled whipping cream
- 3 tsp Sugar
- 1 1/3 c. Warm strong coffee
- 6 Tbsp. (3 ounce.) Irish whiskey
Directions
- Someone requested some Irish beverage recipes recently, but I cannot find 124, 188. This issue focused totally on the country of Ireland and it's cuisine; I loved it-cover to cover. I must admit which I have a liking for which great Irish beverage export-Bailey's Irish cream (on the rocks);-)
- Place whipping cream and 2 tsp. sugar in medium bowl. Whisk till cream holds hard peaks. Chill cream up to 30 min. Hot 2 Irish coffee glasses(small glass mugs with handles) or possibly heatproof stemmed glasses by running very warm water into them. Dry quickly. Place 1/2 tsp. sugar in each hot glass. Pour in warm coffee and stir to dissolve sugar. Add in 3 Tbsp. Irish whiskey to each. Spoon chilled cream over coffee in each glass and serve.
