  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. chocolate syrup
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 1 c. pancake mix
  • 1/3 c. minced pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 c. chocolate syrup
  • 1/4 c. maple flavored syrup

Directions

  1. In a small mixing bowl put together the egg, lowfat milk, 1/4 cup chocolate syrup and oil. With a wire whisk or possibly a rotary beater, beat mix till well combined. Place the pancake fold in a medium mixing bowl. Add in the chocolate mix and beat just combined.Pour about half the batter onto the grids of a preheated, lightly greased waffle iron. Sprinkle with about half the pecans. Close lid quickly (don't open till waffle is done). Remove waffle with fork. Repeat with remaining batter and nuts.
  2. Stir together 1/4 cup chocolate syrup and 1/4 cup maple syrup; serve with waffles. Makes two 9 inch waffles.
