Ingredients
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 6 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa pwdr
- 2 c. white sugar
- 10 Tbsp. butter -- melted
- 2 tsp distilled white vinegar
- 2 c. hot water
- 1/4 c. peanut butter
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. butter -- softened
Directions
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa, and white sugar. To the sifted ingredients, add in the 10 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine, vinegar, and hot water. Mix thoroughly, but don't beat. Pour batter into ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 min. Remove cake from oven, but keep it in the pan. Cream together peanut butter, brown sugar, lowfat milk, and 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine. Spread icing onto cake. Place under broiler till brown and bubbly.
