Directions

  1. This is easy to make; it just looks involved. It is scrumptious! 2 teaspoon baking pwdr 2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 c. sugar 1/2 c. dark brown sugar 2 c. water 4 ounce. unsweetened chocolate squares 6 tbsp. unsalted butter 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 extra-large Large eggs
  2. Butter and flour a 9 x 13 pan or possibly 2 (8-inch) cake pans. In a medium bowl, sift together twice the flour, baking pwdr, soda, and salt; set aside. IN medium saucepan, combine the white and brown sugars with the water. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring till sugar dissolves.
  3. Pour into large bowl. Add in chocolate and butter; let sit. After 20 min, when slightly cooled, stir in vanilla. Beat the Large eggs into the chocolate mix on medium speed till combined. Add in dry ingredients and beat on medium till smooth.
  4. Pour into prepared 9 x 13 pan. Bake 25 min at 350 degrees or possibly till top springs back when pressed. Cold cake 25 min. Turn out and cold completely.
