  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 12 slc Day-old bread, crusts removed
  • 3 x 1.55-ounce lowfat milk chocolate candy bars, halved
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine Confectioner's sugar

Directions

  1. In a bowl, beat Large eggs, lowfat milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour half into an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Arrange six slices in a single layer over egg mix. Place one piece of chocolate in the center of each piece of bread. Top with remaining bread; pour remaining egg mix over all.
  2. Let stand for 5 min. In a large nonstick skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Fry sandwiches till golden on both sides. Dust with confectioner's sugar. Cut sandwiches diagonally; serve hot.
