Ingredients
- 1Â 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1Â 1/4 c. granulated sugar
- 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 3 Tbsp. baking pwdr
- 3/4 c. skim lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
- 1 c. fresh or possibly frzn sweet cherries thawed sweet pitted
- 1/4 c. minced pecans
- 1Â 1/4 x packed dark brown sugar
- 3 c. warm water
- 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
Directions
- Combine flour, granulated sugar, 1/3 c. cocoa, and baking pwdr in large bowl; stir in lowfat milk and applesauce just till dry ingredients are moistened. Mix in cherries and pecans. Spoon batter into greased and floured 13"x9" baking pan. Combine brown sugar, warm water and 1/4 c. cocoa in medium bowl, stirring till smooth. Pour brown sugar mix over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 min or possibly till set (cake will have pudding-like texture). Serve hot or possibly at room temperature.
