Ingredients

  • 1 lg. pie shell
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 3 lg. Large eggs
  • 1 tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. cream
  • Lump butter
  • Salt
  • Vanilla

Directions

  1. Dissolve (heat) 1/2 c. of sugar in 1 c. lowfat milk in saucepan. Beat 3 yolks and 1 white, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 level tbsp. flour. Add in 1/2 c. cream, butter, salt. Cook till thickened, add in vanilla. Save egg whites.
  2. Prepare 1 package instant chocolate pudding (less 1/2 c. lowfat milk as per package directions).
  3. Pour on top of caramel mix in large pie shell. Egg whites can be used as meringue - optional. Cold.
