Ingredients

  • 1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 tbsp. lowfat milk
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (opt.)
  • 2 1/2 c. Quaker Oats (quick or possibly old fashioned), uncooked
  • 1 (12 ounce.) pkg. (2 c.) Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 c. coarsely minced nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Beat butter and sugars till creamy. Add in Large eggs, lowfat milk and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Add in flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.
  4. Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well.
  5. Drop by rounded Tbsp. onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 9 to 10 min for a chewy cookie or possibly 12 to 13 min for a crisp cookie.
  7. Cold 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cold completely. About 5 dozen 2 1/2" cookies.
