Ingredients
- 1 pound round steak
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 c. coarsely minced onion
- 2 c. bite-size pcs green pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. stock or possibly bouillon
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices (2 inches long). Heat oil in skillet over medium heat; add in garlic and remove after 3 min. Add in meat and brown.
- Mix onion, green pepper, salt, pepper and ginger. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 3 min till just tender.
- Blend cornstarch with stock and soy sauce. Stir into mix in skillet. Bring to boil and cook, stirring constantly till liquid is thickened. Serve over rice with chow mein noodles and soy sauce.
