Chicken And Noodles In White Wine

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. chicken pcs, skinned
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. celery
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 6 T flour
  • 1 can chicken broth/stock
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. dry white wine
  • 1 (8 ounce) pkg. wide noodles, cooked

Directions

  1. In hot butter, saute chicken. Remove chicken as it browns. In same fat, saute onion, celery and garlic 5 min. Remove from heat. Stir in flour. Gradually stir in broth. Bring to a boil. Add in salt, pepper and marjoram. Simmer, covered, for 15 min. Add in mushrooms, thinly sliced, and wine. Simmer, covered, for 30 min more, or possibly till chicken is tender. Serve over hot noodles.
