Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. flour
- Dash of paprika
- 2 c. warm chicken stock
- 1/2 can evaporated skim lowfat milk
- 2 c. cooked chicken, cut into cubes
- 1 c. fresh mushrooms, sauteed in butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. pimento strips
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- Toast, puff pastry shells, or possibly fresh baking pwdr
- Biscuits
Directions
- In saucepan over medium heat heat butter. Add in flour, paprika and parsley; blend. Slowly add in stock and lowfat milk, stirring constantly. Cook 5 min on low heat. Remove from stove and add in chicken, mushrooms, salt and pimento strips. Serve over either toast, puff pastry shells or possibly baking pwdr biscuits.
