  • Turmeric powder- a generous pinch
  • Jaggery powder- 1 tsp (optional)
  • For the chettinad Masala:
  • Freshly grated coconut – ½ cup
  • Whole dry red chilies – 6 to 8
  • Poppy seeds (khus khus) – ½ tsp
