  1. In large bowl, mix well flour, sugar, baking pwdr, salt, walnuts and cherries. In small bowl with fork, beat egg, lowfat milk and oil till blended. Pour over flour mix; stir just till all ingredients are moistened. Turn into greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven 60 to 70 min or possibly till pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold in pan on rack 10 min. Turn out on rack; cold thoroughly. Makes 1 loaf.
