  1. Method:1. Mix 3/4 c. sugar, butter or possibly margarine, flour, salt, baking pwdr, and lowfat milk together. Place cherries in the bottom of a 9 inch square pan.
  2. Spread dough over cherries.
  3. 2. In a small bowl, combine 1 c. sugar and cornstarch. Stir in boiling water. Pour mix over the dough.
  4. 3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 min. Serve hot.
  5. Makes 1 - 9 inch square cobbler
  6. This is a very good recipe from a neighbor, and it is requested often.
