Cheese Mostaccoli Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 med Onion, minced
  • 1 c. Celery
  • 1 med Green pepper, minced
  • 1 clv garlic
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage, bulk
  • 1/2 lb Grnd beef
  • 16 ounce can Tomato, minced
  • 16 ounce jar Spaghetti sauce
  • 8 ounce package Velveeta cheese sliced
  • 8 ounce package Cheese, cheddar shredded
  • 16 ounce package Mostaccioli Pasta

Directions

  1. Saute/fry onion, celery, green pepper & garlic, set aside. Brown sausage and grnd beef in 5 quart Dutch oven. Drain fat. Addsauteed vegetables, tomatoes and spaghe tti sauce. Mix well , cook on low heat for about 15 min.
  2. Boil pasta until tender, drain.
  3. In greased 13x9 pan, layer meat sause, noodles and cheese. Repeat untill all gone, make sure top layer is cheese.
  4. Bake 450 uncovered for 45 min, or possibly untill cheese is melted and slightly browned.
  5. I usually double the batch and freeze one for later.
