Ingredients
- 1 c. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 c. Sugar
- 2 tsp Grnd cardamon, (cardamon can be replaced with anise)
- 2 tsp Grated lemon peel, (optional
- 2 x Large eggs
- 4 c. Flour
Directions
- Cream together the butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add in the cardamon and lemon peel. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, and beat after each addition. Add in flour and blend thoroughly. Roll dough 1/8-inch thick on floured board. Cut into desired shapes. Bake in a moderately warm oven at 375 degrees for 10 min or possibly till edges are lightly brown. Frost if you like.
