Ingredients
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Grnd cloves
- 1/4 tsp Grnd ginger
- 1/3 c. Evaporated lowfat milk
- 3 c. Walnuts or possibly pecans
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
Directions
- In a 2 to 3-qt pan, stir together sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and lowfat milk. Stir over high heat till mix reaches 238 degrees on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from the heat and quickly stir in the nuts and vanilla till nuts are well coated. Spread on a waxed paper lined cookie sheet. When cold, break candy into proportionately-sized chunks. Store in an airtight container up to 3 days.
- Makes 6 c.. GREAT!!!
