California Guacamole Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 avocado, peeled & seeded
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • 2 T minced, canned green chilies
  • 1/2 c. minced tomato
  • 2 T mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 4 drops warm pepper sauce
  • Cooked artichokes, chilled (optional)

Directions

  1. The addition of mayonnaise makes this version of guacamole typically Californian. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
  2. Puree avocado with lemon juice in blender. In small bowl, put together avocado mix, green chilies, tomato, mayonnaise, salt, garlic pwdr and hot pepper sauce. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Serve with chilled artichokes, if you like.
