  • 1 box yellow cake mix (not pudding mix)
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon black walnut flavoring
  • 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 T cinnamon

Directions

  1. Dissolve the cake mix, yeast, and salt in lukewarm water. Add in flavorings and fold in the flour. Allow to rise for about 1 hour. Punch down. Roll in rectangular shape on a lightly floured board. Brush with melted butter. Put together the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over buttered surface. Roll up. Slice 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick. Place on greased baking pan. Let it rise for about 45 min. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 min. May be glazed with a thin powdered sugar frosting.
