Ingredients

  • 2 lb grnd beef
  • 1 x cabbage head shredded
  • 1 sm onion minced
  • 1 can tomatoes - (16 ounce)
  •     Broth or possibly tomato juice or possibly water to
  •     cover bottom of crock pot
  •     Garlic salt to taste
  •     Thyme to taste
  •     Red pepper to taste
  •     Oregano to taste

Directions

  1. Early in day; brown grnd beef to remove fat. Shred cabbage and chop onion. Put broth or possibly other liquid to cover bottom of crock pot. Layer cabbage, onion, spices, meat, and garlic salt. Repeat layers ending with beef. Top with tomatoes, undrained and a dusting of oregano. Cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
  2. Stir all together. Cook on LOW heat till ready to eat, 8 to 10 hrs.
  3. This recipe yields 3 to 4 servings.
