Directions

  1. Remove skins of the tomatoes, remove seeds and chop finely.
  2. Put tomatoes, garlic, 1 Tbsp olive oil, and balsamic vinegar in a bowl and mix. Add chopped basil, salt, and pepper to taste.
  3. Slice baguette about ½ inch thick slices.
  4. Coat one side with olive oil.
  5. Place on a cooking sheet, olive oil side down. Place in the oven at 450 °F on the top rack. Toast for 5-6 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Place toasted bread on a platter, olive oil side up and put the tomato topping on each slice and serve.

    This is almost the same as mine but the key is gorgonzola cheese on top it is to dye for!!!!!!!!

      You can also sauté the tomato mixture for a few minutes to warm it up and then put it onto the bread. Sprinkle a little shredded parmesan cheese on top and place in the oven until melted.
