- 2 c. WHITE SUGAR
- 1/2 tsp SALT
- 1/2 c. MARGARINE
- 1/2 c. SHORTENING Or possibly SALAD OIL
- 3Â 1/2 Tbsp. COCOA
- 1 c. WATER
- 2 x WELL BEATEN Large eggs
- 1/2 c. BUTTERMILK
- 1 tsp SODA
- 1 tsp CINNAMON
- 1 tsp VANILLA
Directions
- MIX AND SIFT FLOUR, SUGAR AND SALT. SET ASIDE. PUT MARGARINE, SHORTENING, COCOA AND WATER IN A SAUCE PAN. BRING TO A BOIL. POUR OVER DRY INGREDIENTS AND STIR. COMBINE Large eggs, BUTTERMILK, SODA AND VANILLA IN ANOTHER BOWL. Add in TO ABOVE Mix. MIX WELL ABOUT FIVE Min BEFORE DONE - PREPARE THE ICING!
